Its one of my family favorite in the rainy season mostly we make only sewaiya but in this recipe i just give a little twist with gulab jamun and make a cake hope you all enjoy and like it

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For gulab jamun
  2. Maida 1/2 cup
  3. Khoya/mava 1 cup
  4. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Cardamom 3
  6. Ghee for frying
  7. Sugar 1 cup
  8. Water 2 cups
  9. For Seviyan
  10. Seviyan 250 gm
  11. Sugar 2 cups
  12. Desi ghee 4 tablespoon
  13. Cashews 1/2 cup
  14. Cardamom 3
  15. Water as required
  16. 2 tbsp Almonds chopped for garnish


  1. In a bowl, mix maida , khoya with cardamom powder. Add required water and knead soft smooth dough
  2. Rest dough aside for 1 hour
  3. Heat ghee in a wok. Shape dough into small balls and deep fry until dark brown
  4. In a pan, add water and sugar with cardamom and mix well. Prepare sugar syrup of 2 string consistency. Add Gulab jamun in sugar syrup and keep it aside for 2 hours
  5. For Seviyan
  6. Heat 2 tablespoon ghee in a pan, add seviyan and roast until golden brown. Keep it aside
  7. Now heat remaining ghee in same pan, add cardamom and milk. Mix well
  8. Add sugar with 1-2 cups water and mix well. Stir continuously until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil. Add seviyan and dry fruits. Mix well
  9. Cover and cook until seviyan is soft
  10. Add cooked Seviyan in a bowl and rest for 4-5 hours. Transfer it to serving plate. Garnish with chopped almonds and gulab jamun. Serve
