ABOUT Mango Ghavane / Mango Aamboli. ( My aunty's 45 yrs old recepie.) RECIPE

These rice flour crepes are very popular in Konkan. I have added mango puree , Some ginger juice, and coriander leaves to it. You will easyily eat 4 to 5 Asmboli when served hot with vegetable gravy. My aunty was making it before 45 years and we used to enjoy with Mutton gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice flour 1 bowl.
  2. Mango puree of ripe Totapuri mango. 1/2 bowl.
  3. Ginger finely grated 1 tsp.
  4. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  5. Zeera 1 tsp
  6. Salt 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tsp
  8. Oil / ghee for shallow frying.

Instructions

  1. Take rice flour in a bowl. Take half bowl mango puree.
  2. Add mango juice to the rice flour.
  3. Add salt . Rub zeera between palms and add. Add pepper powder.
  4. Add 1 tbsp water in the ginger. Squeeze out juice and add to the flour.
  5. Mix every thing well. Add water to make batter ( not runny)
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Spread oil / ghee in a nonstick pan. Heat.
  8. Take a laddle ( not very big) full of batter and spread.
  9. Cover after half minute. Flip Over after a minute. Cook on medium high.
  10. Cook more if you want little brown. You can cook it soft too.
  11. Make all your Ghavane/ Aamboli like this.
  12. They taste awesome with any vegetable gravy / chicken gravy.
  13. Enjoy your delicious meal. Aamboli and vege curry.
