Homemade papdi with hot chhole and sweet tangy sauce

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For papri
  2. Refined flour 1 cup
  3. Salt ½ spoon
  4. Carom seeds ⅛ spoon
  5. Refined oil
  6. Lukewarm water
  7. For chholey
  8. 1 cup Dry green peas soaked overnight
  9. Soda 1 pinch
  10. Salt ½ spoon
  11. Turmeric powder ¼ spoon
  12. Coriander powder ½ spoon
  13. Garam masala ½ spoon
  14. Dried mango powder ¼ spoon
  15. Oil 2 spoon
  16. Water
  17. Cumin seeds ⅛ spoon
  18. 1 onion finely chopped
  19. 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  20. Green chilli 1 finely chopped
  21. Tamarind sauce
  22. Thin nylon sev

Instructions

  1. For papri mix flour,salt,carom seeds and 2 spoon oil in a bowl
  2. Make a hard dough with lukewarm water
  3. Devide into equal portion and roll into thin big chapati
  4. Prick with fork and cut with round cookie cutter
  5. Deep fry in hot oil on medium flame
  6. Let it cool and keep in airtight container
  7. For chholey heat oil in cooker and add Cumin seeds
  8. Add onion,chilli and garlic
  9. Saute until golden brown
  10. Add peas, salt and all spices
  11. Mix well and add 1 cup water and soda
  12. Boil for 2 whistles
  13. For Chaat arrange 15-20 papri in a plate
  14. Pour hot chholey, tamarind sauce and nylon sev
  15. Enjoy
