ABOUT Egg Drops Malai Curry RECIPE

This a an experimental dish prepare on a lazy day. I had lot of coconut at my fridge so I used the milk and the grated coconut to make sometime delicious

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Coconut milk -1 cup
  2. Hung Curd -2tbsp
  3. Onion ginger garlic chilli paste -4 tbsp
  4. Turmeric -1 tea spoon
  5. Cumin powder-1 tbsp
  6. Chilli powder -1 tbsp
  7. Green chillies-2
  8. Garam Masala -1 tbsp
  9. Black pepper -1 tbsp
  10. Coriander chopped -1 tbsp
  11. White oil as per requirement
  12. salt as per taste
  13. sugar -2 tbsp
  14. ghee -1 tbsp
  15. kasuri methi -1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add Garam masala for tempering .
  2. Now add onion ginger garlic chilli paste , bay leaves and sauté till the rawness absorbed.
  3. Add turmeric , cumin powder , chilli powder , hung curd , pepper , green chilli, salt and sugar and stir fry until the oil releases.
  4. Now add the coconut milk and sauté , sprinkle kasuri methi and ghee and cook for some more minutes .
  5. For thick gravy u can add the remaining coconut paste.
  6. When the gravy become thick add the eggs from the top in a poach form so that the egg remain intact . Sprinkle some salt on the poach and cover the lid for few seconds .
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with rice , roti or paratha .
