Neem Flower Chutney / Vepampoo Thogayal

Ingredients to make Neem Flower Chutney / Vepampoo Thogayal

  • Dry neem flower -1 tbsp
  • Grated coconut -1/2 cup
  • Dry red chilli -4
  • ginger -1 tsp ,chopped
  • salt -To taste
  • oil -1 tsp
  • Pearl onion -1
  • tamarind - a gooseberry size

How to make Neem Flower Chutney / Vepampoo Thogayal

  1. Heat oil in a kadai,Roast the red chilli for a minute,keep it aside.In same oil,in low flame roast the dry neem flower till you get dark brown colour and nice aroma comes
  2. Take care ,dont burn them while roasting.In a blender add the coconut,red chillies,salt,tamarind,pearl onion,roasted neem flower and ginger.
  3. Blend it everything to a coarse paste by adding little water.
  4. Serve them with Idli,Dosa or Rice
