ABOUT Sweet Carrot Rice RECIPE

A Mouth watering sweet dish combining traditional tastes. It's Inspired by my Mother as it flashes the memories we had with her.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Grated Carrot 1 cup
  3. Sugar 1/2 cup
  4. Pure Ghee 2 tablespoon
  5. Mixed Dry Fruits 1 Cup
  6. Cardamom 1/4 Teaspoon
  7. Cinamon powder 1/4 Teaspoon
  8. Pinch of Kesar


  1. Cook 1 Cup rice on medium flame. Soak the rice 1 hour before cooking.
  2. Add Ghee and fry the Dry fruits till light brown.
  3. Add ghee in a pan and cook grated carrots for 2-3 minutes, add cardamom and cinnamon powder to it.
  4. Then, add sugar to it and let it melt.
  5. Add a inch of kesar and finally add the cooked rice to it.
  6. Mix every thing and cover the pan, let the mix cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Once it is cooked keep it aside to cool.
  8. Serve by adding fried dry fruits to the dish.
