About Eggless Chocolate Banana Cake Recipe

Heavenly combination of chocolate and banana. This cake needs no introduction. You have to make it to believe the moistness and sponginess of this yummilicious cake.

Eggless Chocolate Banana Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Banana Cake

  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp - all purpose flour/maida
  • 2-3 tbsp - Cocoa Powder
  • 2 - Overripe Mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 cup - Castor sugar
  • 3/4 cup - Warm Milk
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla/Chocolate Essence
  • 1 tsp - vinegar
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Eggless Chocolate Banana Cake

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. in a bowl, mix oil & sugar well. Add mashed bananas and mix well.
  2. Sieve all the dry ingredients for 3-4 times to create an airy texture and keep aside.
  3. Add vanilla/chocolate essence and vinegar in banana mixture and mix well.
  4. Add sieved dry ingredients in the banana mixture in 3 batches alternating it with warm milk. Fold in the ingredients gently using cut and fold method.
  5. Pour the batter in a greased cake tin and pop it in the preheated oven to bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 40 mins. or till the skewer comes out clean when inserted in the centre.
  6. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes and once cooled, invert in onto a plate and dust with icing sugar as per your liking.

My Tip:

Serve the cake warm.
