About Chicken Kosha Recipe

Spicy chicken with dry gravy.

Chicken Kosha

Ingredients to make Chicken Kosha

  • chicken big pieces 1 kg
  • onion 500 gm (cut into slices)
  • ginger 1 and 1/2" (paste)
  • garlic 20 cloves (paste)
  • tomato 4 big sized (paste)
  • oil 2 cups
  • red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt as required
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Whole garam masala (5 green cardamon,1"cinnamon and 5 cloves)
  • coriander leaves for decoration

How to make Chicken Kosha

  1. Heat the oil in kadai. Add garam masalas and let it splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions and fry in a low flame. When the onions turn golden brown, add the chicken and fry it in a high flame for 5 minutes. Now lower the flame.
  3. Add ginger, garlic and tomato paste. Cook in a low flame and cover the kadai.
  4. After sometime add the sugar, salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  5. When the chicken becomes tender remove the cover and fry till it becomes dry.
  6. Serve it with coriander.

My Tip:

Here I have used tomatoes, you can use half tomatoes and half yogurt as well.
