Spicy cabbage idli

Ingredients to make Spicy cabbage idli

  • coconut, grated - 2 cup
  • cabbage, chopped - 1/2 cup
  • hing - a pinch
  • 7-8 red Chillies
  • rice - 1 cup
  • tamarind - a small piece
  • salt to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped

How to make Spicy cabbage idli

  1. Soak a cup of rice for an hour and grind along with 2 cups grated coconut.
  2. Grind tamarind, salt, chillies. hing and make a slightly course paste
  3. Add cabbage and onions and make the consistency like Idli batter. Steam in idli moulds for 10 mins.
  4. Serve hot with coconut oil drizzled on top. Goes well as a side dish with rice.

sounds like a nice dish..would be able to make it if you mention the quantities used..it is unclear from here.
