ABOUT Mawa Cake RECIPE

A soft textured cake,flavoured with cardamom and topped with roasted cashew.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour.
  2. 1 cup crumbled unsweetened khoya.
  3. 1/2 cup butter.
  4. 3 eggs.
  5. 1 1/2 cup sugar.
  6. 1 tesp cardamom powder.
  7. 1 tesp bkpd.
  8. 1/4 tesp salt.
  9. 1/2 cup milk.
  10. Roasted cashew to garnish.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 180℃.
  2. Line an 8" round pan.
  3. Beat sugar,butter and khova until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
  5. Fold in the sifted all purpose flour,bkpd,salt and cardamom.
  6. Now add milk and beat till combined.
  7. Transfer to the pan,garnish with roasted cashew.
  8. Bake st 170℃ for 40 to 45 minutes or till skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  9. Remove allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.Slice and enjoy.
