Making cakes and muffins is the best way to utilise over ripe bananas at home. Banana gives a wonderful flavour to them.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Wheat Flour 1 cup (250 gm)
  2. Sugar powder 1 cup (250 gm)
  3. banana 2
  4. Oil 1/3 cup
  5. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  7. Milk as required
  8. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  9. Yellow food colour 2 drops
  10. Choco chips for decoration


  1. Blend 1/2 cup milk and 2 bananas to make a smooth paste.
  2. Pour it in a bowl and add oil, food colour and essence.
  3. Sieve all the dry ingredients together.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients with a light hand.
  5. Add more milk to make a thick yet pourable batter.
  6. Preheat the oven or the convection mode of the microwave at 170 degrees.
  7. Line the muffin baking tray with muffin liners.
  8. Pour the batter in each liner.
  9. Tap the baking tray to remove any air bubble from the batter.
  10. Sprinkle ChocoChips.
  11. Bake the muffins for 25 minutes.
  12. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
