Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. One bowl leftover chana dal
  2. Two bowl wheat flour
  3. Half bowl flour
  4. Salt as taste
  5. Oil as required
  6. Food colour for making sunflower
  7. Green food colour one pinch
  8. One cardamoms
  9. One table spoon fennel seeds
  10. Sugar as per taste
  11. Cumin powder one spoon
  12. Chili powder half spoon

Instructions

  1. At first keep all ingredients together.
  2. Take leftover chana dal in a bowl.
  3. Take chana dal in a mixer for making pest.
  4. Mashed chana dal without water in a mixer.
  5. Take wheat flour, salt, flour ,oil, and food colour in a pot.
  6. All ingredients mix well with the help of hand.
  7. Now add water and bring the mixture together and knead into a smooth soft dough. Cover and keep the dough aside for 15 minutes.
  8. At meanwhile take oil in a pan and heat.
  9. Now add one cardamoms.
  10. Add one table spoon fennel seeds and let it splutter.
  11. Then add mashed chana dal.
  12. Now add cumin powder, chilli powder, sugar and mix well everything.
  13. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  14. Then remove the dal from the pan and transfer it to a plate to cool.
  15. After 15 minutes knead the dough again.
  16. Now pinch two balls from the dough. Flatten them with the help of dust flour looks like roti.
  17. Two roti are ready.
  18. On one of the rolled dough circle, place the chana stuffing in the circle.
  19. Gently place second circle on the top. Press and Seal the edges with fingertips.
  20. Cut the edges with knife.
  21. Give design by hand looks like sunflower (very carefully).
  22. Take some dough. Give leaves and stem design using some green food colour and keep chana stuffing in their center.
  23. Heat oil for deeping fry.
  24. Then deep fry sunflower very gently.
  25. Remove from oil and keep on a tissue.
  26. Now ready for serving
