Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Tortillas medium sized 3
  2. Bhajra cake scraps 2 cups ( with chocolate ganache )
  3. Coco powder 3 tablespoons
  4. Butter unsalted at room temperature 150 ml
  5. Yogurt 170 grams
  6. Honey 1/4 cup
  7. Walnuts fistful chopped
  8. Chocolate ( sweet ) bar 70 grams
  9. Chocolate sprinklers for decoration

Instructions

  1. Firstly , heat tortillas until hard . Don’t burn or change colour. Do it in low heat .
  2. Cool and tear the tortillas . Add in a pulse grinder and finely powder it .
  3. In a bowl , add the powdered tortillas .
  4. Coming to cake scrap ,
  5. In a clean blender , pulse the cake scraps to a smooth powder .
  6. Add this cake powder to the tortillas powder . Add smooth cocoa powder . Mix all well .
  7. In another bowl , take butter .
  8. Whisk gently .
  9. Add honey .
  10. Add yogurt . Whisk all together gently .
  11. Add the dry powders ( cake and tortilla ) gradually while mixing to a smooth brownie batter .
  12. Add chopped walnuts while reserving the rest .
  13. I didn’t add baking powder or soda as my cake scraps already contain them . Adding more would affect my brownies ‘s fudgy texture . So didn’t add .
  14. In a loaf / square cake tin, line a parchment sheet .
  15. Pour in the cake batter . Level the surface . Tap the tin .
  16. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top .
  17. Insert chocolate cubes horizontally as segments on the cake batter .
  18. Place inside a preheated cooker / oven .
  19. I baked on the tawa in low heat for 55 minutes .
  20. Don’t overbake .
  21. When the surface seems to be baked , insert a toothpick , if slight moist , it’s fine . Switch off the heat .
  22. Bring down the heat of the brownies .
  23. Sprinkle chocolate sprinklers .
  24. Brownies are ready .
  25. Cut the brownies and serve . None would believe it’s a leftover’s makeover .
