Part of Saturday evening dinner was Veg-burgers with potato patties and salad. Patties and salad got finished and I had a few burger buns left over with me. I always buy a few extra buns and pavs (extra pavs from pav-bhaji) so I could make these yummy, mouthwatering pull apart buns out of those. These are simple to make and very very yummy to have. I prepared as side snack for Sunday morning breakfast and they were simply loved, as always by everyone in family.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 buns or 4 pavs
  2. 10-12 cloves of garlic
  3. 2 tablespoons butter
  4. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  5. 1 tablespoon all purpose seasoning
  6. 1/2 tablespoon chilli flakes
  7. 1/2 tablespoon oregano
  8. 1/2 cup Grated Cheese


  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. I used tadka kadhai.
  2. Add crushed garlic and let it cook, so the oil and butter absorbs all the flavour of garlic.
  3. Now add chilli flakes, seasoning and oregano and mix well and cook for few seconds.
  4. Meanwhile give cuts to pav or buns. Slit them halfway through.
  5. This way so we can fill with garlic oil and cheese.
  6. Preheat oven to 180C for 10 minutes
  7. Apply the prepared oil inside the slits and also some on top.
  8. Now fill the slits with grated cheese. Try not to break the pieces.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts.
  10. Serve immediately with hot soup or any beverage of your choice.
