ABOUT Pasta(Penne)Pradhaman RECIPE

Pasta Pradhaman is a simple recipe with yummy taste of coconut milk, jaggery,ghee,cashew, raisins and more important is Penne Pasta which gives the same taste as Ada Pradhaman.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Penne pasta 1 1/2 cups
  2. Jaggery (organic) 2 cups
  3. Coconut 1 (big)
  4. Ghee 3 tablespoon
  5. Cardamom 4
  6. Cashew nuts 3 tablespoon
  7. Raisins 3 tablespoon
  8. Water 5 Cups
  9. A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Boil 5 cups of water with a pinch of salt
  2. when it starts boiling at Penne pasta to it.
  3. Let it boil for 10 minutes or fully cooked.
  4. Drain the water in a colandar and reserve some boiled starch water.
  5. Grind grated coconut in a blender and extract first thick coconut milk (1 cup) and keep it aside.
  6. Add 2 1/2 cups water and blend again to extract second thin coconut milk.
  7. In a pan add jaggery and one cup of water to it.
  8. Wait till the jaggery completely dissolve and strain the jaggery mixture in a filter to remove the dust particles.
  9. Add filtered jaggery liquid to a pan and let it boil.
  10. To it add boiled Penne pasta and reserve starch water. Add crushed cardamom to it .
  11. After few minutes of boiling, add second liquid coconut milk extract ( 2 cups)
  12. Let it boil for few minutes.
  13. when the consistency turns thick add first coconut milk extract (1 cup)
  14. In another Pan add ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins until golden brown.
  15. Add fried cashew nuts and raisins with ghee to the Pasta (Penne)Pradhaman.
  16. Let it boil for a minute and switch off the flame
  17. Pasta(Penne)Pradhaman can be chilled before serving or can have hot.
