I have prepared the pasta with oats texture.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup maida
  2. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  3. 1/2 cup suji
  4. 1.5 Cup lukewarm water
  5. 1.5 tsp sea salt
  6. 5 tsp oats
  7. 1 pinch Red and Green food colour
  8. For Sauce preparation
  9. 2 tsp oil
  10. 1 tsp Salt
  11. Two onion
  12. 1 tomato
  13. One capsicum
  14. 1/4 cabbage
  15. 6 tsp tomato sauce
  16. 6 tsp mayonnaise
  17. 5 tsp cheese spread
  18. 1 TSP chopped coriander
  19. 1 tsp Oregano

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix together the all the flours and salt. Make a hole in the center of the flour mixture. Slowly pour 1 cup of the water into the flour mixture, while mixing quickly with a fork. Continue pouring the additional ½ cup of water into the dough until the pasta dough is wet enough to come together into a stiff dough. Add more water, by the tablespoon, if the dough seems too dry (I used the entire 1.5 cups of water).
  2.  Combine the dough into a ball. Place the dough ball onto a lightly floured surface. To knead the dough, push the dough away from you using the heel of your hand. Fold the dough and turn it. Push, fold and turn the dough for 10 to 15 minutes until it is stiff, smooth and elastic. Pat the dough into a ball.
  3. Cover the dough ball and leave it to rest for 20-30 minutes
  4. Take oats, divide them in two two parts .Mix 1 part with red food color n other with green food color.
  5.  Lightly flour the counter and take ¼ of the dough at a time. Cover rest dough and roll out dough ball using a rolling pin .
  6. Sprinkle the red n green colored oats on the rolled dough n roll it again until your reach your desired thickness .
  7. You may have to fold and refold the dough as you are rolling it, to get a long,
  8. Cut the pasta dough into your preferred width and shape.
  9. Dust the pasta with flour. Leave the pasta to air dry for 1 hr on counter (we can store it for 15 days in Ziploc bag in freezer)
  10. After 1 hr, boil the pasta for 8 mins. Then strain excess of water.
  11. Wash and cut all the vegetables in Square pieces
  12. In a pan heat oil, saute onion for 5 mins then add all other vegetables and Saute them. Add sauces, cheese spread mayonnaise n all spices.
  13. Add boiled pasta in pan , mix it with prepared sauce, garnish it with oregano , chopped coriander n colored oats.
  14. Creamy Oats pasta is ready to be served.
