ABOUT Canneloni (pasta cake ) RECIPE

This is new way of presenting canneloni.pasta on form of savoury cake

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For arabiata sauce
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1 tbsp tiny chopped garlic
  4. 2 tbsp finely chopped Onion
  5. 1 tbsp chilli flakes
  6. 1 tbsp dried herbs
  7. Few fresh herbs (optional)
  8. 1 cup tomato puree (home made)
  9. 1/2 cup store bought tomato puree
  10. Salt and pepper to taste
  11. For.pasta
  12. 4 -6 shells of canneloni pasta
  13. 1 cup cheese (mix of mozrella processed cheddar etc
  14. Few cherry tomato and.basil leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. For arabiata sauce heat a sauce pan.
  2. To this add oil. Heat it then add chopped garlic and onion and cook for few minutes
  3. Then add tomato pureed,chilli flakes,herbs,Salt and pepper.
  4. Let it simmer for 20 minutes for flavours to blend.
  5. Boil canneloni pasta till soft.
  6. Now line a loose button baking tin .
  7. Spread arabiata sauce all over.
  8. Top it with cheese.
  9. Cut canneloni shells according to height of pan.
  10. Fill canneloni shells with arabiata sauce and arrange it vertically on sauce and cheese bed.
  11. Again cover with arabiata sauce and cheese.
  12. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degree for 18-20 mins
