About Semolina cutlet. Recipe

This cutlet is easy to make and can be enjoyed as evening snack with cup of tea.It is made of suji /semolina ,potatoes and spices,then shallow fried.

Ingredients to make Semolina cutlet.

  • semolina/suji -1 cup
  • Boiled potato -1
  • water 2 cup
  • Rice flour/corn flour -2 tbsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli -1
  • Grated ginger 1 tsp
  • Corriander leaves 2-3 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Carrom seeds/ajwain 1tsp
  • turmeric powder-1 /2 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • cumin/jeera powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli 1/2 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Semolina cutlet.

  1. SEMOLINA/SUJI -1 CUP. BOILED POTATO -1. CHOPPED CORRIANDER LEAVES :2-3 TSP.
  2. 2 TBSP-RICE FLOUR/CORN FLOUR.1TBSP OIL,CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI-1,GRATED GINGER- 1TSP.
  3. SALT 1 TSP,CHAT MASALA-1 TSP,ROASTED JEERA/ CUMIN POWDER 1 TSP
  4. TAKE 2 CUP WATER IN A NONSTICK PAN.BRING IT TO BOIL.
  5. ADD 1 TSP AJWAIN.HALF TSP SALT.
  6. NEXT ADD OIL.
  7. NOW ADD SUJI TO IT.MIX IT.
  8. CONTINUOUSLY STIR IT, SO NO LUMPS ARE FORMED.
  9. NO LUMPS ARE FORMED.
  10. WITHIN FEW SECONDS IT WILL TURN INTO DOUGH FORM .
  11. LET IT COOL.
  12. ONCE COOL ,TAKE IT OUT IN BOWL.
  13. NOW KNEAD IT WITH FINGERS.
  14. NEXT ADD MASHED POTATOES.
  15. ADD GREEN CHILLI,GINGER TO IT.
  16. ALL THE SPICES SALT,TURMERIC,CHAT MASALA,CUMIN POWDER TO IT.
  17. ADD RED CHILLI TO IT.
  18. ADD RICE FLOUR OR CORN FLOUR.
  19. MIX THEM .
  20. ADD CORRIANDER LEAVES.
  21. APPLY OIL IN HAND TO MIX PROPERLY.
  22. BRUSH OIL IN A RECTANGULAR OR SQUARE SHAPE TIN.
  23. PUT MIXTURE IN IT.
  24. SPREAD IT EVENLY .
  25. LEVEL IT WITH HELP OF SPOON.NOW KEEP IN FRIDGE FOR 20 MINUTES .
  26. AFTER 20 MINUTES. CUT IT IN DESIRED SHAPE.
  27. SEE THEY ARE SET AND EASY TO TAKE OUT.
  28. TAKE ALL PIECES OUT ON PLATE.
  29. LIKE THIS ,NOW DEEP FRY THEM OR SHALLOW FRY.
  30. TAKE A PAN ADD OIL,HEAT IT,WE WILL SHALLOW FRY THEM.
  31. PLACE THEM AT DISTANCE.FRY THEM AT MEDIUM FLAME.
  32. AFTER 2-3 MIN FLIP IT.
  33. FRY FROM BOTH SIDES TILL THEY ARE CRISP.
  34. FOR EXTRA CRISPNESS ,COOK BY SIDES TOO.
