Ingredients to make Nutrela Brokenwheat Fritters

  • Nutrela (keema):1 ½ cup
  • Daliya /Bulgar/Broken wheat: ½ cup
  • Green peas: ½ cup (frozen)
  • Boiled potatoes: 2 medium sized
  • capsicum: 3 tbsp. finely chopped
  • Minced garlic:1 tsp. or garlic powder ½ tsp.
  • onion: 1 small finely chopped
  • paneer/Indian curd cheese: 1/4th cup
  • Green chilies chopped: 2-3 (adjust to your preference)
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 tsp.
  • Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp.
  • coriander leaves chopped: 1/4th cup (optional)
  • oil to fry: 3 tbsp.

How to make Nutrela Brokenwheat Fritters

  1. 1. Prepare the Ingredients: Take nutrela,dalia,green peas In a pressure cooker ,add ½ cup water and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
  2. Take them off the flame,open the cooker and cook in a fry pan to dry till all the water evaporates,as otherwise fritters will break during frying.Do add a little salt while pressure cooking for better taste.
  3. 2. Making the mixture: cool the daliya, nutrela mix completely.In another bowl put the rest of the ingredients and then ad the nutrela mixture.Mash them together nicely and your mixure is ready to be fried.
  4. 3. How to prepare: Make small balls from the mix .Try make them all of the same size.Heat 3 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and fry the fritters on high flame.
  5. 4. Serve hot with mint and chili sauce or a simple tomato ketchup.
