Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mutton-1/4 kg
  2. Onion-2
  3. Tomato-2
  4. Ginger and garlic paste-2 spoon
  5. Turmeric powder-1 spoon
  6. Red chilli powder-1 spoon
  7. Coriander powder-2 spoon
  8. Cashew- handful
  9. Curry leaves- handful
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. Cinnamon, cloves-1 each
  12. Oil -for frying
  13. Salt- as required


  1. Heat 2 tsp oil and fry onion and cashews
  2. Allow it to cool down for sometime and blend.
  3. In a cooker add washed mutton, tomatoes, ginger and garlic paste, and all spices one by one.Add salt as well
  4. Keep 8-10 whistles till mutton turns soft.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan Saute cinnamon and cloves .
  6. Add cooked mutton and fry
  7. Add cashew paste after 5 minutes
  8. Fry well till oil comes to the corner. Add fresh cream ( optional) 2 spoons before turning off.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and roasted cashews.
  10. Serve hot with rice, chapati and dosa.
