Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For pakoras:
  2. 3/4 cup gramflour /besan
  3. 2 cups grated cabbage
  4. 2 tbsp chopped onion
  5. 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  6. 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  7. 1/2 TSP CHOPPED green chillies
  8. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  9. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/4 tsp Carom seeds / Ajwain
  11. 1 pinch baking soda
  12. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  14. salt to taste
  15. 2 tsp heat oil
  16. 2 cups oil,for frying
  17. For kadi :
  18. 1 tbsp oil
  19. 200 gram sour curd
  20. 3 tbsp gramflour/ besan,dry roasted
  21. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  22. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  23. salt to taste
  24. 1" cinnamon stick
  25. 4 cloves
  26. 4 dry whole red chilli
  27. 1/2 Tsp saunf
  28. 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  29. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  30. 1/4 tsp methi seeds
  31. 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  32. 15-16 curry leaves
  33. 2-3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. For pakoras:in a large bowl put all the ingredients of pakoras.
  2. Mix till it is well combined,no need to add water.
  3. Heat adequate amount of oil,fry the pakoras in batches,fry till they are crisp and golden.
  4. Remove the fried pakoras, place them on a kitchen paper towel, so that extra oil is absorbed.
  5. For kadhi: in a bowl take sour curd, gramflour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt.
  6. Whisk it till there is no lump and well combined.
  7. In a plate arrange all the whole spices for kadhi.
  8. Heat oil in a pan,add cumin,saunf, coriander seeds,methi seeds, whole red chilli, cinnamon, chopped ginger,cloves,curry leaves fry it for couple of minutes or till they are splutter.
  9. Add gramflour and curd mixture cook it for 5-6 minutes in medium flame,stir continuously ,add water if needed,
  10. Put off the flame, add chopped coriander leaves,just before serving add pakoras and enjoy it.
