Ingredients to make Palak pakora kadhi

  • For pakora:
  • spinach 100 gram
  • gram flour 1 cup
  • Crushed ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Green chilli paste 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • water as needed to make regular pakora batter
  • oil for frying
  • For Kadhi :-
  • Sour curd 1 cup
  • water 1 1/2 cup
  • gram flour 2 tbsp
  • fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • 1 medium sized onion chopped
  • curry leaves 1 spring
  • Green chillies cut into small pieces
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Palak pakora kadhi

  1. Chop and wash the spinach twice with clean water
  2. Make a regular batter with remaining all ingredients of pakora except oil and then add spinach and mix well
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry pakoras till nice golden colour
  4. Keep aside to let it cool
  5. Meantime make kadhi
  6. Take curd, water and gram flour in a bowl and beat with hand beater to avoid lumps.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt into it and mix well. Kadhi batter is ready
  8. In an another pan take 2 tbsp oil and then add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves
  9. Add onion and saute for few seconds and then add green chillies
  10. Now add kadhi mixture into this by continuous stirring till it comes to a boil on medium heat
  11. Once start boiling slow the flame and boil for 5 minutes
  12. Take pakoda in a bowl and pour the kadhi while serving
  13. Serve with rice and chapati

My Tip:

Kadhi batter consistency can be adjust according to your choice of thickness
