ABOUT SAKARKAND IN JAGGERY SYRUP ! RECIPE

Sakarkand is very nutritious in our diet ! When cooked with Jaggery it adds so much iron too !

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sakarkand/ Sweet Potatoes - 200 gms
  2. Jaggery- 100 gms
  3. Ghee- 4 Tbsps
  4. Cardamom Powder- 2 taps

Instructions

  1. SAKARKAND IN JAGGERY SYRUP ! BY RAMANI THIAGARAJAN !
  2. Take Sweet potatoes/ Sakarkand, Scrub and wash throughly ! Cut and boil !
  3. Peel the skin ! Take Jaggery, Sakarkand and cardamom Powder !
  4. In a saucepan add Ghee and Jaggery Powder !
  5. Mix well !
  6. Cook over low heat !
  7. Cook over low heat !
  8. Add little water !
  9. Add water and cook !
  10. Stir constantly and cook !
  11. Add some more Ghee and Cardamom Powder !
  12. Cook stirring until syrup consistency !
  13. Stir constantly and add cooked,skin Peeled Sakarkand !
  14. Stir well !
  15. Cook for 10 minutes !
  16. Now it is done !
  17. Transfer to a bowl !
  18. Healthy and Nutritious Sakarkand is ready !
  19. Can serve hot or cold !
  20. Nutritious and delicious Sakarkand !
