Singhara is an all time favourite during the fasting season. I have given it to new flavoured of orange and pomegranate is made of Singhara Atta is teamed with green cardmoms and orange , pomegranate worked into mouth watering delight .its taste is so delicious and yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Water chestnut flour( Singhara)1cup
  2. Orange juice 1 cup
  3. Pomegranate juice 1 cup
  4. Ghee 3 tablespoons + for greasing
  5. Sugar half cup
  6. Milk 1/2 cup
  7. Green cardamom powder half teaspoon
  8. Raisins 1 tbsp
  9. sliced Almonds to tablespoon + 1 orange sliced pomegranate for garnishing optional


  1. Grease a Barfi tray with some ghee.
  2. heat ghee in a non stick Pan, add milk Singhara flour and saute on medium heat, till it becomes light brown
  3. take another pan add sugar and one cup of orange juice and pomegranate juice well boiled eat then put into Singhara keep strring till ghee leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. add cardamom powder raisins and Almonds and mix well keep staring for 1 to 2 minutes
  5. for the cooked mixture into the breach trade and label the top refrigerator for 10 minutes then cut into shape of barfi.
  6. Garnish with cashew nut Almonds slices and orange slices pomegranate serve
