ABOUT Poha Puliyodarai RECIPE

Twist in regular puliyodarai in healthy way by substituting rice with poha.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Thick Poha 1 cup
  2. Tamarind lemon size
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Gingelly oil 2 table spoons
  5. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Fenugreek powder 1/8 teaspoon
  7. Curry leaves few
  8. Asefoetida 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  10. Uraddal, channadal - 1 teaspoon each
  11. Peanuts 2 teaspoons
  12. dried chilli 3

Instructions

  1. Wash poha once with water and soak it in tamarind water with salt for about fifteen minutes. The tamarind water should be just immersing the poha.
  2. In a kadai add gingelly oil, when hot add mustard seeds urad dal, channa dal, peanuts, chillies ,curry leaves . Once roasted add turmeric powder,asefoetida, fenugreek powder and poha
  3. Give it a good mix and switch off the flame.
