delicious, yummy, tasty, healthy falahar (vrat thali) platter consisting of all time favourite sabudana khichdi served with pumpkin raita, amaranth flour halwa, sabudana papad, salad, fruits and dry fruits

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sabudana 2 cups
  2. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  3. Roasted peanuts powder to tablespoons
  4. Chopped green chillies 6
  5. Sugar 2 teaspoons
  6. Rock salt or sendha Namak according to taste
  7. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Lemon juice 2 teaspoons
  9. Amaranth flour 1 cup
  10. Gher 1/2 cup
  11. Sugar 3/4 cup
  12. Cardamom powder 2 pinches
  13. Grated pumpkin 2 cups
  14. Curd 1 cup


  1. For sabudana khichdi, wash sabudana 3 to 4 times and soak in little water for 5 to 6 hours (keep it covered)
  2. Later when sabudana is properly soaked, mix it well
  3. Now heat, 2 to 3 tablespoons of ghee in a pan and splutter jeera
  4. Add chopped green chillies and roasted peanuts powder , saute' for a while and immediately add soaked sabudana
  5. Add, red chilli powder, sugar and salt according to taste mix it well and cook cover for next 5 minutes
  6. Now , open the lid, mix it again, cook uncovered for next few minutes .Garnish with some pomegranate pearls, chopped coriander and it is ready to serve.
