Ingredients to make Buckwheat Quinoa Wrap

  • Ingredients for preapring wraps:-
  • Buckwheat flour 1/4 Cup
  • Rice flour 1/4 Cup
  • Tapioca starch/Sabudana flour 2Tbsp
  • salt 1/4Tsp
  • water 1/2 Cup
  • oil 2Tsp
  • Ingredients for quick pickled vegetables:-
  • carrot's  2No
  • Jalapeno 1No
  • onion 1 No
  • water 2Cup
  • sugar 2Tsp
  • salt 2Tsp
  • White vinegar 1 Cup
  • Ingredients for preparing stuffing:-
  • Cooked quinoa 1Cup
  • Shredded cabbage 3Cup
  • carrot peeled and cut into strips 2No
  • cucumber peeled and cut into strips 1No
  • Chopped coriander 1/4 Cup
  • Ingredients for preparing Sriracha mayo sauce:-
  • Mayonaise 1/4Tbsp
  • Sriracha sauce 2Tbsp

How to make Buckwheat Quinoa Wrap

  1. Steps for preparing wrap:-
  2. Add the buckwheat flour, rice flour, tapioca starch/sabudana flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Slowly add water to the flour and whisk until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain. 
  4. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Heat a non-stick tawa or pan over medium heat.
  6. Lightly grease it and remove excess oil with a kitchen paper towel.
  7. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the tawa/pan, and tilt the pan with a circular motion to spread the batter.
  8. Cook for about 1 minute, then flip it and cook the other side for another minute.
  9. Transfer the wrap to a plate and cover with a clean kitchen towel to keep it soft. 
  10. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  11. Steps for preparing pickled vegetables:-
  12. Slice the onion in half and then in slices.
  13. Julianne the carrots and slice the jalapeno.
  14. Keep sliced onions and carrots Julianne's separately.
  15. Bring 2cup water to a boil, add 2tsp sugar and 2tsp salt.
  16. Take 2 glass jars in one jar add sliced onions and in another jar add carrot Julianne's along with jalapeno.
  17. Add 1/2 cup of vinegar to each jar and then pour in 1 cup boiling water to each jar to the top.
  18. Close the glass jars with lids and refrigerate.
  19. They will be ready to enjoy within an hour.
  20. Steps for preparing stuffing:-
  21. Add quinoa,cabbage,carrots and cucumbers into a bowl.
  22. Mix sriracha and mayo together in another bowl.
  23. Add half of sriracha mayo sauce to quinoa vegetable bowl and mix well.
  24. Steps for assembling:-
  25. Lay one buckwheat wrap on a plate. 
  26. Spread the sriracha mayo sauce onto the whole wrap and top with the quinoa filling. Roll tightly to form a wrap.
  27. Serve wrap with pickled vegetables.
