ABOUT Falafel RECIPE

These falafels are gluten free and vegan, so they’re a great party appetizer

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup dried (uncooked/raw) chickpeas, 
  2. 1/2 cup roughly chopped red onion
  3. 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  4. 4 cloves garlic,
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/2 tsp black papper
  7. 1tsp lemon juice
  8. 1tbsp olive oil
  9. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. combine the soaked and drained chickpeas, onion, coriander leaves garlic, salt, pepper, and the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Process until smooth, about 1 minute.
  2. Form the chickpea mixture into balls
  3. Heat oil in a kadai
  4. Deep fry the falafel in batches for until golden and crisp.
  5. Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
