Without a cupcake a birthday party or any kind of of get together party is totally incomplete nowadays. This is so easy and yummy cupcake recipe. You can eat as it is or decorate with cream of your choice.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Plain Flour - 1 and 1/4 cup
  2. Thick yoghurt - 1 Cup
  3. Sugar - 3/4 cup
  4. Refined oil - 1/2 Cup
  5. Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
  6. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  7. Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Few chocolate chips - optional
  9. Little bit of icing sugar - optional


  1. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda twice.
  2. Beat the sugar and yoghurt.
  3. Add oil and vanilla essence and beat well again.
  4. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius temperature.
  5. Grease the cake tin with oil or butter.
  6. Add little bit of flour at a time with the yoghurt mixture.
  7. Gently fold and mix all together. **Don't over mix**
  8. Place a spoonful of batter in the cake tin. **If you like you can decorate with chocolate chips.**
  9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. **As per oven structure and setting it can takes bit more or less time. Be careful about that.**
  10. After remove from oven let It cool for 5 minutes in the cake tin.
  11. Then put it on a wire rack for completely cool down.
  12. if you wish you can sprinkle the icing sugar over it.
