Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Shakarkandi/Sweet Potato ½ kg (boiled and mashed)
  2. beetroot juice–3_4 tbsp
  3. Milkmaid–400grms
  4. Desicated coconut powder–4_5 tbsp
  5. Ghee 2_3 tbsp
  6. Green Cardamom powder–1/2 tsp
  7. Some finely chopped nuts (Almond, Cashew nuts)
  8. Raisins–8_9
  9. Pistachio to garnish


  1. Boil, peel and mash shakarkandi
  2. In a heavy bottom pan add ghee, add shakarkandi and cook 4_5 minutes.
  3. Add beetroot juice and cook few minutes, then add milkmaid, green cardamom powder, desicated coconut powder n cook few more minutes.
  4. Keep on cooking till it starts leaving the sides of pan and changes into a lump.
  5. Take off the flame, put in the greased plate and spread to form a uniform layer
  6. Garnish with pistachio, cool it and cut into desired shape.
