Imarti is sweet recipe and it is called jhangri in south india it is prepared on occasions like diwali holi

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Urad dal
  2. Raw rice
  3. Sugar
  4. Elaichi
  5. Water
  6. Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Step 1 : soak 1 cup of urad dal for 4 hrs at least and separately soak raw rice of 1/4th cup of raw rice
  2. Step 2: after soaking for 4 hrs grind both of them into smooth paste
  3. Step3: not much water should be added to it and please make ensure that paste is very soft
  4. Step4: after taking paste into separate bowl mix the paste gently for 5 min so that air bubbles must be generated
  5. Step5: after mixing whole thing for 5 min with hand or whisker add red color(optional) to it
  6. Step 6: heat oil in kadai put flame in low to medium
  7. Step7 ; takeout a sauce bottle put paste of urad dal into it and press gently by making imarti shape or jalebi shape
  8. Step 8: on another burner put 2 cups of sugar with 1 glass of water and boil it make one string consistency once consistency is formed squeeze lemon into it in order to avoid solidify switch of the stove
  9. Step9: once syrup is warmed immerse imarti into it and add elaichi powder also
