ABOUT Super Seeds Mukhwas RECIPE

In Indian cuisine mukhwas plays an important role. There are many different types of mukhwas made with different types of edible seeds herbs from Indian kitchens. I made this mukhwas with 4 supersedes flax seeds pumpkin seeds sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. Seeds are great source of fibre, Monaunsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and many important vitamins minerals and antioxidants.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Sesame seeds 100 grams
  2. Pumpkin seeds 100 gram
  3. Sunflower seeds 100 gram
  4. Flax seeds 100 gram
  5. Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  6. Salt 2 Tbs
  7. Powder 1 TBs
  8. Water 1/8 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix water lemon juice salt and turmeric and make a mixture ready
  2. Take all four seeds in four different bowl and soak all the seeds with above lemon, turmeric and salt mixture.
  3. Rest for over a night or for 1 hour. If you want to soak only for 1 hour don't add water in the lemon juice minutes.
  4. Next day roast the seeds individually one by one in a pan on slow flame.
  5. This is flaxseed. They are good source of fibers and Omega 3. Flax seeds helps to reduce cholesterol blood pressure and even the risk of cancer.
  6. This is pumpkin seeds roasting. Pumpkin seeds are good for heart health and reduce symptoms of urinary disorder
  7. This is sesame seeds. Sesame seeds are good for knee osteoarthritis and reduce the inflammation and and oxidative stress.
  8. This is sunflower seeds Sunflower seeds helps to reduce inflammation and cholesterol level
  9. Mix all roasted seeds in a bowl and bring it to room temperature then store in in air tight container
  10. Take 1 tablespoon of this super seeds mukhwas after lunch and dinner which will give you digestive fibres, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and many important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which will help you in your diet,reduce blood sugar level, cholesterol and blood pressure
