Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bajra 1&1/2 cup
  2. Rice 1/2 cup
  3. Urad dal 1/2 cup
  4. Salt
  5. Eno 1/2 tsp
  6. Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tbs


  1. Take rice, bajra and urad dal in separate bowls.
  2. Wash 3 times. Soak each of them separately for 4-5 hours in fresh water.
  3. In mixer grinder the urad dal into a nice smooth batter. Then grind Miller, fenugreek seeds and rice
  4. Mix all the 3 batters keep this batter aside for fermentation for overnight or 6 to 7 hours.
  5. Add salt and Eno powder in fermented batter and mix well.
  6. Grease the idli mould with oil.
  7. Add water to adjust consistency.
  8. Pour idli batter into each of the moulds.
  9. Steam the idlis in steamer for 10 minutes.
  10. After 10 minutes remove the moulds and rest for 2 minutes remove the idlis from moulds.
  11. Serve with chutney or samber in breakfast.
