Ingredients to make Wheat flour malabar parata

  • wheat flour - 250 gms
  • salt as per taste
  • water as required
  • ghee as required
  • oil asbrequired

How to make Wheat flour malabar parata

  1. In a bowl add salt and wheat flour together.
  2. Slightly pour water in the bowl and mix the flour until it forms a stiff dough.
  3. Close the lid and rest it for 15 minutes.
  4. After that knead the dough well until it become soft.
  5. Make into equal number of portion depends on the size of the paratas.
  6. Made all the portions into flat roundles.
  7. Using rolling flat the roundel as thin as possible.
  8. Apply ghee over it nicely and sprinkle some dry wheat flour on it.
  9. Start from one end fold upside and downside until other end .
  10. Stretch both sides and roll from one end until the end.
  11. Make similarly with all the roundles and rest them for 10 minutes.
  12. After that gently press into little thick with rolling pin.
  13. Heat a pan and fry both sides with oil or ghee until it turns crispy.
  14. Our wheat flour Malabar parathas with crispy layers are ready to eat.enjoy.

My Tip:

Rest the dough after rolling into paratas if we flatten immediately we cannot see the layers in it.
