ABOUT Sev rolls RECIPE

Sev rolls are one of the very famous breakfast diahes of Gujarat. They are sweet, tangy and spicy!!! Just the way any one would like to have!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For rolls:
  2. 6 potatoes boiled and smashed
  3. 1/4 tsp hing
  4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp chat masala
  7. 1/2 tsp coriander and cumin seeds powder
  8. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1-2 chillies cut into small pieces
  11. 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  12. 1 tsp sugar
  13. 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  14. For coating Sev rolls:
  15. 1/2 cup Vermicelli
  16. For the slurry:
  17. Cornflour 2-3 tbsp
  18. 3-4 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. For Sev rolls- Mix all the ingredients for the rolls and make rolls from the mixture.
  2. Keep the rolls aside.
  3. Mix Cornflour and water to make the slurry. The slurry should not be too thick.
  4. Dip the rolls in the slurry and coat them properly with vermicelli.
  5. Deep fry them on medium heat till golden brown colour obtained.
  6. Serve the Sev rolls with green chutney.
