ABOUT Sprouted Chana Potato Poha Locho.( My idea) RECIPE
" Locho" is a famous Surati recepie made with Chana daal . I have made my own "Locho" with Sprouted Chana, Poha and Potato and the innovative recepie has tasted extra ordinary.

Ingredients Serving: 3
Sprouted Chana 1/2 cup ( Cookef)
Rice flakes 1 cup ( Washed and soaked)
Potatoes boiled and grated 2 large
Chana daal soaked and Cooked 1/4 cup / gram flour 3 5bsp
Garlic crushed 1 tbsp
Ginger grated 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp / green chilli paste 1 tsp
Zeera roasted 1 tsp
coriander powder 1 tbsp
Curd 3 tbsp
Salt to taste.
Oil 1 tbsp
For Seasoning
oil 2 tbsp
Asafoetida a big pinch
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Garlic cloves 4 to 5 ( chopped)
Tuemeric 1/4 tsp
FOR GARNISH
Sev ( for Locho)/ Sev for sevusal 1 bowl
Pomegranate seeds 1 / 2 bowl
Roasted ground nuts 1/2 bowl
Lemon 2 ( cut in cubes)
Sesame oil 2 tbsp ( optional)
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
For green chuteney
Coriander leaves 1 bowl
Green chillies 2
Garlic cloves 6 no.
Ginger crushed 1 tsp
Roasted split chana daal 3 tbsp
Grated coconut 2 tbsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Instructions
Blend Soaked Rice flakes with curd. Add water if needed
Coarse grind cooked Chana.
Grind ghana daal.
Mix Poha mix , Chana and Chana daal.
Add Potatoes.
Add ginger, garlic and all masala mentioned.
Add crushed Zeera too.
Mix everything , cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Blend all ingredients for green chutney.
Make chutney, adjust taste . Keep aside.
Heat water in steamer .
Check the consistancy of Chana Poha mixture.
It should be thicker than Pakoda mix and softer than roti dough.
Heat 2 tbsp oil and add in it.
Transfer in a plate for steaming
Steam for 15 minutes. Cool little.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add asafetida, mustard seeds.
Add chopped garlic. Add turmeric. Now add steamed mixture.
Saute for 5 minutes.
Cool completely. Your Locho 8s ready to serve.
In a serving plate take a spoonful of Locho.
Take all ingredients to add mentioned for serving. Take Coriander chutney too.
Mix according to your taste.
Add sesame oil before adding Sev.
Mix nicely and enjoy your delicious breakfast.
Adjust to your taste by adding Pomegranate seeds, lemon and green chutney.
