Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken Joints - 02 Large
  2. Chicken Breast BL - 1/4 kg
  3. Onions Big Sliced - 02 for fry
  4. Lavang - 08 Cloves
  5. bay leaf - 01
  6. Elachi- 04 Cloves
  7. Cinamann PCs - 04
  8. Tomato Big Boiled Skinless - 02 mashed
  9. Chicken Biryani Masala - 04 tsp
  10. Curd - 04 tablespoons
  11. Red Chilli Powder - 02 tsp
  12. Turmeric - 02 tsp
  13. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  14. Kasuri Methi - 04 tsp
  15. Salt to taste - as per your choice
  16. Ghee - 06 tsp
  17. Brown Onions fried - 02 medium onions
  18. Saffron with hot water - 02 tsp
  19. Coriander - small bunch
  20. Mint - 10-15 leaves small
  21. Basmati Rice Long grains - 1 1/2 cup
  22. green chillies- 02 slit

Instructions

  1. Wash Basmati Rice and Soak it for 30min before making the dish.
  2. Take a bowl, Marinate Chicken Joints and BL Chicken Pieces with Curd, Tumeric, Ginger Garlic Paste, Coriander Powder, Red chilli Powder, Chicken Masala Powder, Few drips of Lime juice. Mix all these well with little salt added. 30min aside.
  3. Take a Biryani Kadai, Add some Ghee (02tsp), Add Shahi Zeera (01tsp)
  4. After Zeera starts splitting, Add Green Chillies, Onions and sauté well for 02 min on medium flame.
  5. After Onions become translucent, Add little salt(02tsp),
  6. On the other Side Take a Rice boiling dish, add soaked rice with sufficient water, lavang, cinnamon, cardoman, bay leaf, elachi, 01 tsp of Ghee and 01tsp of salt. Bring the rice to boil and stir in between. Make sure Rice should only be cooked till 75%.
  7. Now in the Kadai, Add Marinated Chicken along with it’s gravy...bring it to boil with closed lid for 5 min.
  8. After this you can observe that chicken will be almost cooked and soft.
  9. Now add mashed tomato and mix well with chicken
  10. Add some Salt and mix well. after you notice that chicken is well cooked and water is lost with only gravy left.
  11. in to the kadai, spread the 75% cooked rice all over, add brown onions, little salt spread, Coriander, Mint leaves, Safron water, little ghee to be spread, now add the 90% boiled rice on the top and repeat the brown onions, coriander etc...on top.
  12. Seal the Kadai with a dough, and on the low flame let the Biryani cook for 15min.
  13. After this slowly remove the lid and check the bottom of the rice whether it’s not watery.
  14. let the Biryani cool for 10min in the same Kadai.
  15. While Serving, Lift the chicken gravy from down and serve first, then the top coated rice.
  16. Serve hot and yummy with raitha
