Chicken Cheese stuffed Pastry

Ingredients to make Chicken Cheese stuffed Pastry

  • For dough:
  • maida 2 cups
  • dry yeast 2 tbsp
  • 1/2 cup + 3 tbsp luke warm milk
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • olive oil 2 tbsp
  • oregano 2 tsp
  • Filling:
  • chicken sausages 2 sticks
  • 1/2 cup Grated Cheese
  • onion 1 chopped
  • ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • green chillies 2
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • butter 1 tbsp

How to make Chicken Cheese stuffed Pastry

  1. Take a bowl, add in the yeast sugar and 3 tbsp lukewarm milk to activate the yeast. Leave it for 10 minutes untouched.
  2. Take a large bowl, sieve maida into it. Add salt, olive oil, activated yeast and oregano. Mix and then gradually adding the milk to make a dough.
  3. Rest the dough for at least an hour to rise. Make the filling while the dough is resting.
  4. Finally chop the sausages into a pan, add butter, onions, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
  5. Add salt, coriander powder and garam masala. Cook for a few minutes then add the chopped sausages. Mix, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Cool the mixture and add cheese and mix well.
  7. Make balls of dough, flatten it a bit. Keep the stuffing in the centre and roll or just make a ball and stuff it. You can make whatever shape you want to.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree centigrade for 25 minutes before baking brush the pastry with olive oil or butter.

My Tip:

One can use whatever stuffing they want. Veg or Non Veg. I used processed cheese here which can be replaced with any other type.
