Masala Pasta

Ingredients to make Masala Pasta

  • Pasta - 1 cup
  • onion - 2 medium sized, finely chopped
  • tomato - 2, finely chopped
  • Sambar powder or any curry powder
  • bay leaf -1
  • cinnamon - 1, 2" stick
  • star anise - 2 petals
  • fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • oil

How to make Masala Pasta

  1. Boil pasta and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai, add whole spices and saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add onions and cook.
  4. Then add the tomatoes and cook till soft.
  5. Add pasta, sambar powder and salt.
  6. Mix well and cook till the pasta has warmed.
  7. Serve hot.
