Ingredients to make Bakery style dilkush

  • whole wheat flour 3 cups
  • instant dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • salt one tablespoon
  • milk one cup
  • eggs 2
  • flavourless oil 3 TSP
  • for stuffing
  • tutti frutti 1 cup
  • country sugar 1/2 cup
  • grated coconut 1 cup
  • elaichi 5 noz
  • sooji 3 tbsp
  • ghee 2 tablespoon
  • melted butter one tablespoon

How to make Bakery style dilkush

  1. In a bowl add wheat, yeast, salt and eggs
  2. In warm milk add suger and mix well then add to wheat yeast mix
  3. Kneed it till it becomes sticky .. then dust flour in kitchen counter and knead it like pull in and pull out by adding oil for 10 min
  4. then rest for 90 minutes till double in its size
  5. For stuffing:
  6. in a pan add ghee and fry Suji for 3 min in mudium flame then add elachi , country sugar and grated coconut and fry for 3 min in low flame then add tutti fruity mix it well and switch off the flame
  7. let it cool for 15 minutes
  8. Now dough will double in its size again knead for 2 minutes
  9. now divide the dough into four equal parts and spread one part in rolling pin and spread stuffing and cover with another spread dough and bind the edges using fork and poke the inner slightly and rest for another 30 min
  10. apply egg wash all over dilkush
  11. Now preheat oven at 150℃ and bake for 25 min
  12. cool it in a cooling Rack and slice it
  13. enjoy this winter with Bakery style dilkush
