A lovely christmasy recipe, home baked bread stuffed with cake mix.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the dough -
  2. Maida - 2 cups
  3. Instant yeast - 2 tsp
  4. Milk - 3/4 th cup
  5. Butter - 2 tbsp
  6. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  7. Cake mix -
  8. Any plum cake or chocolate cake - 1/2f pound
  9. Chocolate sauce - 2 tbsp
  10. Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  11. Dry fruits (kaju, kismish, tutti frutti - 1/4 th cup
  12. Egg wash - 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions

  1. For the dough, add the sugar, instant yeast, butter and warm milk to the Maida.
  2. Mix and knead a very soft dough. Cover it with a cling film and Proof it for 1 hour.
  3. Mean while prepare the cake mix with the ingredients mentioned under in the box
  4. Now roll the proofed dough into 2 rounds, one larger than the other.
  5. Put the cake mix onto the bigger roti, and fold the sides.
  6. Cover the opening with the smaller roti and smear the egg wash or melted butter.
  7. Bake it at 180 degree Celsius in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool and serve.
