Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gobindo bhog rice. 1 cup
  2. Sona moong daal. 1/2 cup
  3. Carrots chopped in cubes
  4. cauliflower florets
  5. peas
  6. beans
  7. Salt
  8. sugar
  9. ghee
  10. Panchphoran ( for tempering)1 big pinch
  11. Turmeric. 1 tsp
  12. Ginger paste 2 tsp.
  13. Cumin powder 1 1/2 tsp.
  14. Slit green chillies. 2-4

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice and daal separately for 15 minutes. 1-put 1 tbsp ghee in to the kadai. 2-Saute the vegetables.
  2. 3--Put one more tbsp of ghee 4-saute the daal for 2 mins. 5- Add the rice to it. 6-Saute untill beautiful aroma comes.
  3. 7-Add 3rd tbsp of ghee. 8- Add 2 dry red chillies,Bay leaf,panchphoran. 9-saute.
  4. ,10- Add 2 tbsp of ginger paste. 11-1 1/2 tsp of cumin powder.
  5. 12-Add the mixture of rice,daal and vegetables.
  6. 13-Add salt and sugar as per taste. 14-Give it a good mix. 15- Now add 3 cups of water to it.
  7. 16-Cover it.Let it simmer for 10 mins at lower medium flame. 17-check with a fork. 18-Simmer for 3-4mins at lower flame. 19- Your Bhuni Khichdi is done.
