Whole Wheat Garlic bread

Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Garlic bread

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • Refined flour 1 cup
  • Dry active yeast 1 tsp
  • Powdered sugar 1 tbsp
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • Minced garlic 1 tbsp
  • Oregano 2 tsp
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • Luke warm water about 2 cups

How to make Whole Wheat Garlic bread

  1. In 1/2 cups warm water add yeast, sugar mix and keep aside for 5-8 minutes until bubbles arise.
  2. In another bowl mix the flours with salt, half the garlic, carom seeds and 1 tbsp oil.
  3. Add to this flour, yeast and water to knead the dough.
  4. Apply oil on hands and in a bowl, then pick the dough and place it in the bowl cover with wet cloth, keep in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. After an hour knead the dough and roll it till half inch thick.
  6. In a small bowl, mix butter, oregano, garlic and keep a little to sprinkle.
  7. Spread it on the rolled dough, fold it in half.
  8. With a knife partly slice and apply some oil on the top and sprinkle oregano on it an keep in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  9. Pre- heat the oven at 180 degree centigrade. Keep the dough in the oven for 20 minutes.
  10. Let it cool and then have it with the cheese dip.

My Tip:

Sprinkle some garlic powder with oregano.
