Ginger mint rice

Ingredients to make Ginger mint rice

  • rice 2 cups
  • water 2 cups
  • Desi ghee 1/2 cup
  • peas boiled 1 cup
  • onions chopped 1
  • mint leaves chopped 1 cup
  • Gingerchopped 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • green chillies chopped 2-3
  • cumin seeds 1 tso
  • salt tbsp or to taste

How to make Ginger mint rice

  1. Heat ghee in a pan ,add cumin seeds,ginger, onions,turmeric,greenchilli saute for 5 minutes
  2. Add peas,rice,mint leaves,salt and water and cover with lid
  3. Wait till it starts to boil then turn the heat to low
  4. Check in between and stir only once or twice
  5. When done serve with yoghourt

My Tip:

Can sprinkle dried mint before serving
