Ingredients to make Naan Khatai

  • 1/2 cup besan/ gram flour
  • 1 1/2 cup maida
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3/4 cup ghee

How to make Naan Khatai

  1. In a bowl, add flour and sieve it. Maida, besan, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cardamom powder, mix everything well.
  2. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture, and add ghee. Mix well until well combined and you get a smooth dough.
  3. Make small balls and flatten it a bit and place sliced nuts on top. Place on a baking tray.
  4. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade. Place the tray on the high rack and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove gently and allow to cool.

My Tip:

Sieve to make the flour lump free and light.
