Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. French beans 1/2 kg
  2. coconut 1/2 cup
  3. garlic 2 number
  4. jeera 1 teaspoon
  5. turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. mustard seed 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Urd dal 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Red chilly 1 number
  10. Curry leaves
  11. salt
  12. coconut oil 1 tablespoon


  1. Wash the beans thoroughly
  2. Slice it thinly
  3. In a kadai heat oil and fry mustard seed,urd dal
  4. Add curry leaves and red chilly pieces
  5. Add beans and saute for a minute
  6. Add salt and mix well
  7. Sprinkle some water and cook it covered in low flame for 3 to 5 minutes or until the pieces are cooked. Don't over cook it
  8. Grind coarsely coconut,jeera,garlic turmeric powder and chilly powder
  9. Add this mixture to the beans
  10. Mix well and heat for 1 minute
