Eggless Rava cake in kadahi

Ingredients to make Eggless Rava cake in kadahi

  • Fine Rava/Suji/semolina - 1 cup
  • all purpose flour or Whole wheat flour- 1/2cup
  • Warm Milk - 1 cup
  • Baking powder -1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4tsp
  • sugar - 3/4cup
  • butter or oil - 1/4 cup
  • Mixed fruit jam - 2 tsp

How to make Eggless Rava cake in kadahi

  1. Mix flour, Rava, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Make powder from sugar.
  3. Add powdered sugar in flour.
  4. Add veg oil in flour mixture.
  5. Add warm milk.
  6. Whisk till batter become frothy.
  7. Add jam in batter.
  8. Whisk again and make a lump free batter.
  9. Put cake batter in greased baking tin.
  10. Preheat kadahi for 5 minute.
  11. Put a katori in kadahi as shown in pic.
  12. Keep baking mould on katori.
  13. Cover it and bake for 5 minutes on high flame.
  14. Then bake on medium heat for 25 minutes.
  15. After 30 minutes Check it with knife, if it comes clean then remove mould from kadahi.
  16. let it cool and remove carefully from baking tin.
  17. Enjoy soft , sponge and yummy cake.
