Ingredients to make Eggless choco cup cake

  • For eggless cup cake:
  • 1 1/2 cup maida
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • For frosting:
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened chocolate

How to make Eggless choco cup cake

  1. For eggless choco cake:
  2. In a bowl sift in maida, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Sift thrice.
  3. In another bowl mix water, oil, vanilla extract and vinegar
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well. Till everything is incorporated well.
  5. Grease the muffin tin. Fill each muffin cups about 2/3 with the batter.
  6. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degree.
  7. Bake the muffin cups for 20 - 25 minutes at 180 degree or till done. Insert a toothpick to check whether it's cooked.
  8. Allow it to cool completely.
  9. For the frosting:
  10. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate.
  11. In a bowl take butter and beat it with a hand mixer till it's smooth and creamy.
  12. Add powdered sugar and beat till it's smooth and fluffy. Add in vanilla extract and beat again.
  13. Now add the melted and cooled chocolate. Continue to beat till it reaches shiny frosting.
  14. Add this frosting to the cup cake and serve.

All ingredients should be at room temperature. All measurements should be correct.
