Eggless twin cake

Ingredients to make Eggless twin cake

  • maida 1 1/2 cup
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1 1/4 tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • curd 3/4 cup (little sour)
  • Powder sugar 1 cup
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Orange food colour 1 tsp
  • Milk as needed to thin the batter.
  • Muesli / dry fruits 2 tbsp for garnishing on top before baking

How to make Eggless twin cake

  1. Grease a cake pan. And dust it with flour/atta. keep aside.
  2. Take maida, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl take curd, oil, sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well. Keep mixing till the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Now add curd mixture in maida mix. Fold gently.
  5. If batter is too thick add little milk to thin it out. Consistency of the batter should be thick but pouring.
  6. Now take 4 tbsp of batter in another bowl and mix orange food colour. Mix it well.
  7. Pre heat oven to 180 degree centigrade for 10 minutes.
  8. Pour white batter in the greased cake pan. Now pour orange batter over it. With the help of toothpick spread orange batter lightly over the white batter. Do not over spread it otherwise it will turn the whole cake orange.
  9. Garnish with dry fruits or muesli on top of the cake before baking.
  10. Bake it for 45 minutes. Remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  11. With the help of knife loosen the sides and invert the cake on a plate.
  12. Slice and Serve.

My Tip:

Add sugar as per taste.
