These homemade ragi horlicks is a must try recipe and is healthy with the goodness of ragi,mixed nuts and cardamon.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ragi millets 1 cup
  2. brown sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamon powder 1 tsp
  4. Mixed nuts cashew,almonds,pista -hand ful
  5. Cocoa powder 1tsp
  6. Milk powder 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash the ragi millets thoroughly and soak in water for 3 hrs
  2. Again wash thoroughly and drain the water and keep on a towel to get dry
  3. In a pan,dry roast the ragi millets until the flavour comes
  4. Remove and keep aside
  5. Then add the nuts and roast them
  6. Remove and keep aside
  7. After it has cooled grind them finely in the mixer
  8. After grinding seive it
  9. Now add the cardamon,milk powder and brown sugar grind once
  10. From this take half and keep aside
  11. In the remaining add cocoa powder for chocolaty taste and give a pulse
  12. Keep in seperate airtight containers
  13. For preparing, boil milk or water add 2 tbsp of the powder and stir well
